BlackBerry has enjoyed the fame since many years. But it seems that with the advent of the the Apple iPhone the tables have turned and as they change is always for good. BlackBerry App store’s other drawback is that it does not have a desktop version. This proves to be very fatal as the screen of the mobile phone is very small and exploring the options becomes really difficult. Even the user interface of BlackBerry is not user friendly and besides the apps is located in four different places and hence makes it difficult to find the app quickly. I did this because the iPad will make any ordinary app look fascinating, with its easy large Multi-Touch screen and advanced capabilities for searching the web, email, and videos it’s truly amazing. In this article I will tell you why these three should be at the top of every user’s must have apps for 2011.

Twitterrific:

Twitterrific is a fun app that lets you tweet or read post from your iPad, it also lets you keep track of your friends on Twitter. Before you download the app you should visit the twitter home page to sign up for an account with twitter.  The Twitterrific iPad app is definitely here to stay; it goes beyond the call of duty for bringing a clean interface and decent functionality to an already established brand. Twitterrific will check messages for you at an interval that you decide; it will even refresh the list manually. The Twitterific app also shows a scrolling list of the latest tweets from either your friends or public feeds. The only knock on the Twitterific app is it does not have the ability to queue tweets to send later.

Angry Birds HD:

Okay I must admit I’m addicted to the Angry Birds Game app for your iPad. The growth and fan recognition of this app has been amazing. Chillingo is now expanding out to cartoon and plush slingshot toys (Very clever marketing). Universally praised for its amazing game play and comical style, Angry Birds game app is changing how we use our iPad.  The premise of the game is to use your unique powers of each bird to destroy the pig’s fortresses, the reason your destroying the fortresses is because the green pigs took the birds’ eggs. I know it sounds confusing; however Angry Birds features challenging game play for hours on your ipad. If you don’t like the game, at least get the shirt to show your friends you’re still cool. Google Voice:

The Google Voice app is definitely one for the ages. The Google Voice app now supports iPad & iPod Touch. Google Voice allows you to send and receive free text messages and read voicemail like email. You can even place and take calls with  your Google Voice app, Google Voice will call your phone and then connect your call, now that’s simply amazing!  You’ll need a Google Voice account to use the mobile application on your iPad, you can download the app from the Google Voice mobile site at google.com/voice.

Slate:

Slate for your iPad is good for videos, but it’s reminds me of a static website.

Life:

Life for your iPad is okay, however its interface reminds me of something out of the 19 centaury.

Now this list is just my opinion, there are over 150,000 apps for your iPad and more being developed everyday. In fact there is even a lucrative market in developing apps. Now I’m not telling you to quit your job, however you can get paid by making iPhone and iPad apps with little technical knowledge.

Conclusion

Will people continue to be as enthusiastic about the iPad once the new wears off? All signs point to yes. It’s a very attractive device, to be sure, but it is the usefulness that will keep it in use in businesses such as hospitals (for recording patient data on rounds), sales (for instant ordering and order status updates), and remote sites (for teleconferencing). With thousands of apps available and more arriving every day, iPads will be an important business tool for the foreseeable future.

Did you know that Doodling is a valid artistic style? It must be true, because game developers are using doodles as the basis for a new genre of mobile games. In fact, games with Doodle-style characters and backgrounds are topping the charts in the App Store for both paid and free apps. It seems folks just can’t get enough Doodle Games. In no particular order, here is our list of the Best Doodle-Drawn Games in the App Store. All these games work great with both iPhone and iPad devices.

Doodle Kart Life: For anyone who enjoyed the racing games for the original Nintendo gaming system, Doodle Kart Life should be at the top of their list. It looks as though it is on grid paper and drawn with a ball point pen, but unlike other similar games, this one looks pretty decent. It makes the user aware that it is not the detail of the graphics, but the quality of the game that makes it so enticing. The driver has numerous options when it comes to controlling the car: speed, acceleration, weight, items. Also, like the tried and true Mario Kart, weapons can be used to take down opponents. Doodle Jump: If an addicting game is what youre looking for, Doodle Jump is the ticket. Doodle Army: Despite the serious connotation with the word army, a sense of humor must be had to enjoy Doodle Army. However, a long attention span is not needed. Everything aspect of the game is witnessed after playing for a mere five minutes, but this is not altogether a negative. Doodle Army is perfect for those who dont have the time or desire to get stuck for an hour when more important tasks are at hand. Dont drop it so quickly. Its the little things that will keep you coming back. Basically, as an army soldier (or Rambo or a Russian KGB officer or Santa), you move from side to side, jump and crouch, fire and duck. Pass checkpoints and earn purple hearts to level up, moving from one historically real war to the next.

Glow Doodle: This application could almost be called a modern day light bright. It is simple, colorful, and quickly gaining the popularity it deserves. A mere six neon colors are at your disposal, and unfortunately, no eraser. Yet the artistically challenged need not fear; there is an undo button for quick fixes. The bright colors are used to draw and doodle on a pitch black background for the greatest contrast. After your picture is complete (or earlier if you would like to sneak a peek), tap the glow button and watch your doodle illuminate with life. The newest version even has the option to illuminate certain parts while others remain dull. The best part is, you can save the pictures as wallpaper or send them to friends.

Swakker Doodle: Swakker Doodle may just be the most high tech of all the doodle applications out there. You can simply doodle on a blank page with the option of over 50 colors, or you can doodle to your hearts delight on an existing photo or one of the apps many backgrounds. Like a real artist, choose from fine or broad thicknesses, and grab the eraser when needed. Then you can kick it up a notch. Invite a friend, whether they are connected to Swakker Doodle or not, to join with you. The two or more separate screens will display the same picture with the same added doodles. When the fun is over, save the masterpiece to your library to remember the good time you shared with your long distance friends.

Written review: I really like strategy games, specially if they have a nice user interface. This app has become one of my favorite strategy games for the iPad. It allows you to play with up to 5 players, either AI or humans. The app has wonderful graphics and its user interface is plain and simple. I highly recommend this app since the price is very good and it is one of the funnest apps I’ve played with.
