iPad 2 Vs. Asus Eee Pad Transformer! Asus Eee Transformer Review: www.technobuffalo.com iPad 2 Review: www.technobuffalo.com For the latest tech news and reviews, check us out at: www.technobuffalo.com TechnoBuffalo on Facebook: www.facebook.com TechnoBuffalo on Twitter www.twitter.com The Asus EEE Pad Transformer is the newest Android tablet on the market, and one I absolutely fell in love with when I reviewed it. As I wrote in my conclusion: The Transformer is the tablet Android fans deserve. I’m disappointed I have to send my review unit back to the folks at Asus. Before, whenever anyone asked me which tablet they should buy, my answer was always “The iPad 2.” Now, I can confidently recommend another extremely capable alternative. If you are in the market for a tablet, you owe it to yourself to look at the Transformer. While I also gave a favorable iPad 2 review, one of them has to be superior to the other, right? So it only makes sense to put the Transformer up against the iPad 2, allowing these two tablets to fight it out head-to-head and see which come out as the true victor. We put them through six rounds: Screen Speed Browser Apps Operating System Intangibles You’ll have to watch the video to find out the victor, but we’ll give you this much of a hint, it doesn’t end in a tie. Check out the video and let us know in the comments what you think of both the iPad 2 and the Asus EEE Pad Transformer.

Asus Transformer!!!!! Thank you very much for the video, my friend!!!!
how can OS be a tie when iOS is fixed point in time and space with no customization what so ever, no widgets, no flash support in browser (and html5 doesn’t make YouTube videos play on iOS yet), while on the other hand you have honeycomb with almost endless possibilities? Also, apps from previous android version can be used on honeycomb, most of them work just fine, SOME of them have SOME issues, but so do the iOS apps. Also, number of apps doesn’t mean quality.
@TechUpdated what does ASUS has to do with apps for android? Just get apps for android on your asus, it’s android honeycomb, not ASUS OS. Compared to number of apps for android (including this asus device) iPad and it’s iOS are lacking apps

@joshuacollen and for those below who are still looking for an iPad 2 for Free, simply google for: freeipad2giveaways.info
I’m typing using my iPad 2 right now
What’s sad is that the Asus doesn’t have many apps. Tablets are great for taking functionality of apps, and if it wasn’t for such a small amount of apps I would have got my hands on it right away. I think I’ll wait a little, and see how it increases.
asus 121 eslate vs ipad 2

@anaheimducks04 dude the tablet is new, wait for word to spread like the time it took for the ipad, trust me, apps will work better on this tablet when they come out, and this is faster then the ipad in browsing. GEt the And0id

PLZ do a Tablet Wars between Transformer and Acer Iconia
@steliospitsillides I’m a geek and an os that’s hackable is what I look for always, having extra options and stuff is just lots of fun like being able to overclock your mobilephone processor, I’ve never owned an apple phone or ipad but I prefer android just for the fact I won’t be part of “everybody’s got one” I like to feel unique. and because my grandma and mother both have iphone 4
that’s also why I don’t have one, also why I don’t have a facebook account too.
Consequently, i m considering iphone 5, provided it surpasses the current high-end hardware specs of either htc sensation or samsung galaxy s 2. and yes, hardware matters to an end/heavy user, like me and it’s not only about the user experience, from my point of view. sure i see how ios can run faster than gingerbread on lowest hardware requirements and that’s impressive but hardware upgrades offer more functionality, possibilities and options, as well as development opportunities.
@reply4reply that is a very good resemblance, good job. another thing i ‘d like to point out is that i have an HTC Sensation, rooted and running CM7.1, and a Macbook Pro 15′inch of 2011 (2.2Ghz i7 sandybridge) running Mac OS X Lion (& Win7 ultimate Bootcamped), thus prooving i am not biased or speaking in favour of either. For long i believed iOS 4 couldn’t compete with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but iOS 5 seems to be the best thing apple did for some time now.
finally people understand that living under apple is like being a bird inside a very very nice cage. with android, it’s like you are in the forest of amazon, sure there might be danger with few eagles but who cares, freedom is all worth it
The reason Apple don’t have SD card slots to increase memory is because then everyone will buy the 16gb wifi + 3G / 16gb wifi only models.
