Like many ipad fans when i heard of the release of the new ipad 2 ereader i couldnt wait for it to become available. i personally brought one within the first week of its release. I love the ipad and ipad 2 because they are so much more than your average gadget or standard ebook reader. While the ipad is great for reading ebooks it also doubles as a web access station rather than my laptop in 80% of cases and because i can use it ratehr than powering up the laptop or desktop it saves a lot of time when you just want to quickly check something on google or in your inbox. The only problem i had with the ipad was paying up to an ebook from apple, this drove me to try out alternatives as i knew there must be a better option than paying around per ebook which works out expensive if you read a couple of books a week.
The two best services i can recommend are as follows; Te first is method i use is to look up my favourite authors online and go to their personal websites. what i found was often authors would give away some of their older ebooks completely free via their websites and have been really supprised by just how many ebooks i have found for my ipad. This is also a god method to use because when an wuthor releases a brand new ebook you can normally get access to it before the general release date and if the author sells it you very often get it at a discount and you have the knowledge that the suthor will be getting 100% of the money you pay for the ebook rather than a tiny cut if you buy from the likes of amazon or the ibook store.
The best service i use for getting ebooks is one called Ebooks for ipad, this site offers a subscription service that allows memebers to download all the ebooks you like from a massive library of over 40,000 ebooks. What i like most is that the service is just for a limited time, (usually ) and for this i have already downloaded over 100 ebooks straight to my ipad where i store them ready for when i finish reading the book i am currently on. So for i have already saved hundreds of dollars and will save more everytime i download a new ebook. i cannot recommend this service enough.
